Rules adopted to protect California workers from high heat led to double-digit reductions in injuries with substantial outdoor exposure, according to a new report by the Workers Compensation Research Institute.
"The reductions in the number of injuries on hot days in these industries ranged from 14%-17% in construction to 24%-27% in agriculture," the report says.
