The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services is reportedly adding brand-name drug Lyrica to workers’ comp Medicare set-aside proposals as a treatment for certain low back conditions, in an apparent switch from its previous policy. The trend, which MSA professionals began noticing a few months ago, can add hundreds of thousands of dollars to a Medicare set-aside.
