Supreme Court Upholds Compensability of Injury for Custodian With History of Back Issues

The West Virginia Supreme Court upheld a determination that a custodian with a history of back issues had suffered a compensable injury while moving trash. Case: Putnam County Board of Education v. Woodard, No. 20-0852, 03/23/2022, published. Facts: Homer Woodard worked for the Putnam County Board of Education as a custodian. He allegedly injured his back while moving bags of trash.
