DWC Finalizes RTW Plan-Based Audit

The Texas Division of Workers’ Compensation finalized its return-to-work plan-based audit. The plan-based audit will evaluate the reasonableness of decisions made by providers as well as record-keeping that relates to return to work. The audit sets the scope, methodology, selection standards and program duties as described in the Medical Quality Review Process. The DWC in April solicited input from system users on the return-to-work audit plan included in the Medical Quality Review Annual Audit Plan for 2022.
