DWC Proposing Changes to Medical Quality Review Process

The Texas Division of Workers' Compensation is proposing changes to improve the process it uses to investigate and discipline medical providers who treat injured workers. The DWC on Wednesday gave notice that it has posted a draft of a revised document that spells out its Medical Quality Review Process, which the division established in 2011 after complaints from lawmakers that it had failed to discipline negligent providers.
