Forty-one providers who were registered as qualified medical evaluators for at least one year between 2007 and 2016 were ultimately suspended by the California Division of Workers’ Compensation, according to a report released last week.
The 41 providers received 1.6% of QME assignments during that 10-year period, and 4.6% of QME panels in that time included one or more provider who was eventually suspended.
