A case involving the shipping company Central Transport's alleged use of defective forklifts has been settled before the Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission, the federal work safety agency announced.
The settlement agreement commits Central Transport to improving forklift safety at its more than 100 terminals in 26 states, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration said.
OSHA's director, David Michaels, filed a complaint with the OSHRC in 2015 seeking an order for Central Transport to remove defective forklifts from operation.
