BOSTON — Injured workers in Illinois are more likely to lawyer up than any of 18 states studied by the Workers Compensation Research Institute, while only a small fraction of claimants in Wisconsin and Texas had legal representation, according to preliminary findings released Friday on the close of the institute’s annual conference.
