The Oregon House of Representatives passed a bill that would allow insurers and self-insured employers to store records from workers’ compensation claims in places outside of the state.
The House voted 54-0 to pass HB 2039, which would require records that are stored out of state be available to regulators at a location in Oregon. The bill would allow carriers and self-insured employers to store their records on cloud servers, and reflects changes in business practices, according to an analysis.
