Senate Rules Committee Reappoints CHSWC Commissioner Mitch Steiger

The California Senate Rules Committee reappointed Mitch Steiger to represent labor on the Commission on Health and Safety and Workers’ Compensation for a term that runs through Dec. 31, 2024. Steiger is a lobbyist for the California Labor Federation, AFL-CIO. He advocates on behalf of workers in a variety of issue areas, including occupational health and safety as well as workers’ compensation, and he participated in the stakeholder discussions that produced the worker’s compensation reform legislation in Senate Bill 863 of 2012.
