Transit Worker to Pay $34,529 in Restitution Following No Contest Plea

A regional transit worker in Northern California was ordered to pay $34,529 in restitution after pleading no contest to a misdemeanor fraud charge. Justin B. Hamilton said he was injured while working for the Sacramento Regional Transit District in August 2017. He was charged with fraud in 2019 after surveillance footage contradicted his description of the accident. Hamilton pleaded no contest Friday.
