Firefighter Pleads Guilty to Fraud Charges

A Southern California firefighter pleaded guilty to felony workers’ compensation fraud for making false statements to receive more than $145,000 in benefits, the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office announced. Perry A. Lieber, 34, admitted a special allegation that the theft totaled more than $100,000 for victims that include Ventura County and York Risk Services.
