Prosecutors in Connecticut say a woman has been charged with illegally collecting workers’ comp benefits after surveillance footage allegedly showed she had exaggerated the extent of her injuries, the state announced in a news release.
Ann Marie Cordisco, 41, of Newtown, was arrested Tuesday by investigators from the Workers’ Compensation Fraud Control Unit in the Office of the Chief State’s Attorney.
Cordisco faces charges of fraudulent claim or receipt of benefits, larceny by defrauding a public community, and perjury, the state said.
