Bills Propose Social Worker Coverage, Change in CURES Administration

Services provided by a licensed clinical social worker would be covered by California’s workers’ compensation system, under legislation introduced this week. Separately, a state lawmaker is proposing to transfer administration of the state’s prescription drug-monitoring database from the Department of Justice to an agency selected by the governor.
