NCCI Files COVID-19 Injury Codes

The National Council on Compensation Insurance has proposed new codes for COVID-19-related claims. In a recent filing for the state of Texas, the NCCI proposes a new nature of injury code, “83-COVID-19,” and a new cause of injury code, “83-pandemic,” according to a notice posted Tuesday by the Texas Department of Insurance.
