Nicole Richardson Serving as Acting AD

Nicole Richardson is serving as acting administrative director for the California Division of Workers' Compensation, succeeding George Parisotto, who retired from state service at the end of January.

The division has not issued a public announcement regarding the leadership change. Richardson signed Feb. 20 and Feb. 26 orders updating sections of the Official Medical Fee Schedule as the acting administrative director.

Gov. Gavin Newsom in January appointed Richardson chief counsel of the DWC, where she had worked as staff counsel since 2017.

Before that, she was an Attorney at SiliconBay Training from 2013 to 2017, staff counsel at Pacific Compensation Insurance Co. from 2011 to 2013 and staff counsel at State Compensation Insurance Fund from 2004 to 2011. 

Parisotto retired after more than 10 years serving as administrative director in a full or acting capacity. Newsom's office recently posted a notice soliciting applicants for the next leader of the DWC.
