DWC Sets Designated Doctor Focus Group Meeting

The Texas Division of Workers’ Compensation is holding a focus group meeting in March to gather feedback on ways to improve the designated doctor program. The meeting will allow system users to discuss ideas regarding billing and reimbursement that were presented during an Oct. 27 designated doctor program meeting, the division said. “Consider having staff attend who are familiar with billing and reimbursement for (designated doctor) examinations, as some of the presentation material will include specific billing codes and practices,” the agency said.
