Legislation Sparks Debate on How Often Injuries Go Unreported

A bill that would impose a fine of up to $500 on employers who knowingly fail to report a workplace injury as required is moving through the Maryland legislature. House Bill 1476, sponsored by Delegate Cheryl Glenn and nine other Democrats, received a favorable report from the Economic Matters Committee on Friday and moved toward a vote by the full House of Delegates.
