A New Jersey mail carrier who failed to disclose profits from selling goods on Etsy while receiving benefits for a foot injury was charged with one count of fraud, federal prosecutors announced.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office for New Jersey said that Aida Perez, 42, made her first appearance Wednesday by video conference and was released on bail.
According to the one-count complaint, Perez said she injured her ankle at work in November 2020.
