Rating Bureau Extends COVID Premium Breaks Through April

The New Jersey Compensation Rating and Inspection Bureau has extended COVID-19 premium reduction provisions that were set to expire Dec. 31. The provisions, announced in September, allowed employers to assign some office workers as clerical employees and to exclude others from payroll reporting. The changes to the workers' compensation and liability insurance manual also increased the maximum schedule rating credit to 35% and allowed a reduction in the plan premium adjustment program surcharge.
