A Utah lawmaker introduced legislation that would expand the list of cancers that presumptively arise from service among firefighters.
House Bill 65, introduced Monday by Rep. Snider Casey, R-Cache, would create the presumption that the following cancers are compensable occupational diseases for firefighters: bladder, blood, brain, breast, colorectal, ovarian, kidney, melanoma, non-Hodgkins lymphoma, prostate, skin, testicular and thyroid.
