A bill that would establish qualification standards for Hawaii doctors conducting independent medical examinations is heading to an end-of-session conference committee after the House of Representatives refused to concur with amendments adopted in the Senate.
HB 2202, by Rep. Aaron Ling Johanson, D-Moanalua, would require doctors conducting IMEs be “duly qualified” to perform such evaluations.
