From New York to Florida, states have announced new rules in an effort to keep up with the demands of the coronavirus and its effects on society.
New York: The chairwoman of the Workers' Compensation Board announced today that she has adopted an emergency rule decreeing that workers may take paid family leave to care for loved ones stricken with COVID-19. New York state has one of the most generous paid leave laws in the country, and the new rule expands the definition of serious health conditions to include the coronavirus respiratory disease.
