A Nov. 2 meeting hosted by the American Medical Association will give stakeholders a chance to weigh in on the AMA impairment rating guides and could be the first step toward developing a seventh edition, according to the sixth edition’s senior editor.
Topics of discussion at the meeting will include exploring how the AMA guides can keep pace with changes in medicine, defining the future scope of the guides and identifying opportunities “to coalesce the industry on a common edition,” according to a meeting invitation.
