Bill Would Notify All Lawyers of Fee Division

Under legislation first read in the North Carolina House of Representatives on Monday, the state's Industrial Commission would have to notify all the lawyers who represented an injured worker when it approves attorney's fees.  Reps. Sam Watford, R-Davidson, and Lee Zachary, R-Yadkin, filed House Bill 26 last week. It passed its first reading in the House on Monday and was referred to the judiciary committee.
