Bill Would Presume TNC Drivers Are Employees

Massachusetts lawmakers are scheduled to hear testimony on a bill that would explicitly classify those driving for transportation network companies, such as Uber and Lyft, as employees. Senate Bill 1305, by Sen. Lydia Edwards, D-Suffolk, addresses numerous ride-hailing issues, including liability coverage and when a driver is considered to be "working."
