The California Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board published a significant panel decision Tuesday that rescinded a trial judge’s order indefinitely continuing a case until it is safe for participants to provide in-person testimony.
Commissioners said it would be inappropriate to institute a blanket rule declaring it unreasonable to continue a case to allow for in-person testimony because each case must be resolved according to its own particular circumstances.
