State OSHA Fines 19 Companies for COVID-19 Safety Violations

The Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration has fined 19 companies more than $51,000 combined for what it calls “serious” COVID-19 safety violations. The agency said the companies, 12 of which are construction firms, had not taken precautions to protect workers and communities from the spread of the disease.
