OAKLAND, Calif. — California’s workers’ compensation system has enjoyed a prolonged period of relative stability, but the tides may be changing.
Tidal changes can be subtle or catastrophic, California Workers’ Compensation Institute President Alex Swedlow said Thursday at CWCI’s 55th Annual Meeting of Members in Oakland. But unlike the Golden State’s comp system, changes in the tides are well understood and predictable, he said.
