WCIRB Governing Committee Meets Wednesday

The Workers' Compensation Insurance Rating Bureau of California Governing Committee will meet to review current events on Wednesday. Committee members will hear reports on the annual regulatory and pure premium rate filings from earlier this year. Insurance Commissioner Ricardo Lara approved an 8.7% rate increase in July, the first increase in a decade. In May, he approved regulatory changes that included increasing the experience rating threshold to $10,800 from $10,400.
