A New York appellate court upheld the dismissal of portions of a worker’s Labor Law claim for his injuries from a trip-and-fall on a sidewalk bridge. Case: Polonia v. 14 Sutton Tenants Corp., No. 23490/17E, 11/01/2022, published. Facts: Charles Polonia suffered injuries while he was working at a construction site at the intersection of Sutton Place and East 56th Street in Manhattan. According to Polonia, he tripped while he was walking on a sidewalk bridge erected at the corner of the site.
