Oregon’s Workers’ Compensation Division extended the public comment period on proposed rules to implement legislation allowing carriers and self-insured employers to store claims files outside of the state.
The division on Wednesday announced it will accept comments on the rules through Nov. 24.
The proposed rules would implement HB 2039, which allows carriers and self-insured employers to store work comp claims records outside the state — if they’re available for inspection at a location in Oregon.
