Court Overturns Denial of Worker's Occupational Pneumoconiosis Claim

West Virginia’s Intermediate Court of Appeals ruled that further proceedings were necessary to determine which of a worker’s prior employers was potentially liable for his occupational pneumoconiosis claim. Case: Hundley v. Austin Powder Co., No. 24-ICA-273, 02/28/2025, published. Facts: Jeffrey W. Hundley worked for Virginia Drilling and the Austin Powder Co., drilling sandstone rock and coal.
