A Southern California staffing agency was ordered to pay $650,000 in combined civil penalties and restitution for failing to carry workers' compensation for its temporary employees.
The Ventura County District Attorney's Office said Man Staffing in Oxnard promised clients that its temporary workers were covered by workers' compensation while it repeatedly avoided obtaining lawful insurance policies.
