DWC Issues Notice to Readopt Emergency Telehealth Rule

The California Division of Workers’ Compensation on Wednesday announced that it intends to readopt emergency regulations allowing telehealth for medical-legal evaluations. Emergency regulations have been in place since May 2020 allowing telehealth and telemedicine services for med-legal exams. Most recently, the DWC in January announced the adoption of emergency med-legal telehealth rules that would be in effect through July 19.
