Alexis Bakofsky Named Chief of Staff for OIR

Florida Insurance Commissioner David Altmaier announced that Alexis Bakofsky was appointed chief of staff of the Office of Insurance Regulation. Bakofsky most recently served as deputy chief of staff and communications director, where she was responsible for providing management oversight and developing official statements for the agency to release. Prior to joining OIR in 2019, she served in a number of public services roles in Florida, including deputy communications director for the Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles Department.
