The federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration cited two contractors that it said could have prevented a fatal accident if they followed workplace safety rules.
Jorge De La Torre, 27, died April 4 after falling about 30 stories at a residential construction site in Fort Lauderdale. He was one of two workers installing a section on a tower crane to increase its height when a support cable failed and the platform they were standing on moved.
