Insurers and regulators are praising a state appeals court ruling that rejected a constitutional challenge to Louisiana’s medical treatment guidelines, but claimants' attorneys say the case is far from over.
“There will definitely be an appeal. We’ll take it as far as it needs to be taken to get a correct application of the law,” said claimants’ attorney J. Arthur Smith, of Baton Rouge.
