Maryland senators on Wednesday introduced legislation to broaden the pool of professionals who can assess permanent impairments in workers' compensation claims.
SB 522, now before the Senate Finance Committee, would authorize “licensed certified social workers-clinical” to conduct impairment evaluations for claims involving behavioral or mental health disorders.
