The U.S. Supreme Court ruled that principles of due process allowed an injured freight car mechanic’s suit against a Virginia-based railway to be heard in Pennsylvania.
Robert Mallory worked for Norfolk Southern Railway Co. as a freight car mechanic for nearly 20 years, first in Ohio, then in Virginia. During this time, he allegedly was exposed to asbestos and other carcinogens.
