No Industrial Disability Retirement for Cop Terminated for Misconduct

A California appellate court ruled that a former police officer who was terminated for cause was not entitled to an industrial disability retirement. James Suess worked as a police officer for the City of Pomona. In May 2016, the Police Department's Internal Affairs Unit received a citizen complaint against Suess. A second complaint was filed in July 2016. Suess was notified of both complaints and was interviewed during IAU investigations.
