The New Mexico Workers' Compensation Administration has extended indefinitely a pilot program whereby mediators instead of the system administrator make determinations as to whether a claim is eligible for payment by the state's Uninsured Employers Fund.The program was originally adopted in April 2008 and was set to expire in September 2008, but the administration decided it was successful so left it in effect, said agency spokesman Van Craven.The program treats all claims to the Uninsured Employers Fund as workers' compensation complaints.
