PT Group Sues MedRisk Over Provider Referral Practices

After settling a lawsuit against One Call that accused the workers’ comp cost-containment company of funneling business to providers who accepted deep discounts, the Independent Physical Therapists of California is now suing MedRisk over similar allegations. IPTCA filed the lawsuit Oct. 4 in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California.
