The Washington State Department of Labor & Industries announced that rates will be flat in 2021 and that it approved a proposal to put Amazon fulfillment centers in their own classification starting Jan. 1.
The department said with no change in rates, this is the first time in 20 years that rates dropped or were steady for four years in a row. L&I approved a 0.8% decrease for 2020, a 5% cut for 2019 and a 2.5% cut for 2018.
