Palm Medical Group filed an answer to State Compensation Insurance Fund's motion to dismiss a jury's $1.1 million jury verdict against it, saying the carrier's arguments have no legal basis and in some cases are "sheer nonsense."
"SCIF has raised these arguments time and time again," Palm attorney Drew Pomerance wrote, "as it has taken three and sometimes four bites at the apple, having lost previously on demurrer, summary judgment, non-suit and directed verdict. Nothing is new this time. It is time for this case to end and for Palm to finally have its judgment."
