Union Planters Promotes Gil Aleman to Pres of PEO

Union Planters Corporation (NYSE:UPC) yesterday announced the promotion of Gil Aleman, 37, from executive vice president to president of its wholly owned subsidiary, Strategic Outsourcing, Inc., (SOI) which provides employer organization services (PEO) for small businesses. Aleman's appointment is effective immediately and he will continue to work from SOI's corporate headquarters in Charlotte, N.C.
