Self-insured employers should reserve for bill-review expenses as medical costs if those costs can be allocated to individual claims, Office of Self Insurance Manager Mark Johnson said Wednesday. Claims adjusters had apparently been uncertain how to reserve for bill review expenses until Johnson clarified the issue for someone who emailed his office.
