UT Dr Overprescribes WC Patients for Own Addiction

A Utah doctor has been arrested for over prescribing narcotics to workers' compensation patients, and splitting the pills to support his drug addiction. Dr. David Morris of Price, Utah, has been given the option of beginning drug abuse therapy by Third District Court Judge Dennis Fuchs, who admonished Morris that "If I see any prescription with your name on it that's written to anyone in my drug court treatment program, I will not only kick you out, I will send you to prison," according to the Salt Lake Tribune.
