The California Workers' Compensation Interpreters Association on Tuesday blasted Zenith National Insurance Co. for contending that interpreting services for the purpose of treating an injured worker are not reimbursable.
But an attorney for the carrier fought back in a telephone interview with WorkCompCentral, saying there is no fee schedule for interpreting services during treatment visits because no law requires or permits insurers to pay for such services.
