Vermont Benefits to Increase July 1

The Vermont Department of Labor announced an increase in workers' compensation benefits effective July 1 based on an increase in the statewide average weekly wage. The department reported that existing workers' compensation rates will be adjusted by multiplying the current rate by 1.025. The new maximum for injuries arising after June 30, 1986 is $974. The new maximum for injuries prior to that date is $649. The minimum in all cases is $325.
